Old Crow day 9
Well the day started with getting water at the cabin so we knew it would be a GREAT DAY. (Old Crow has a truck that drives around filling everyone’s water tank!)
AND MORE GOOD NEWS for the commuity: a couple of caribou were caught so Stan Jr and Lance skinned them outside! SO exciting! Rocket the dog and all the ravens were supporting characters - benefiting from this activity! ;) This means there are 3 caribou in the cache for the community to share. Nature’s superfood! Mahsi’Choo to the creator.
Jack used his audio skills to record some SFX for the collaborative animation with Mariel, Sadie, Ben and Ashlynn. Brandon’s office has foam on the walls so it is a great place to record audio.
Sadie and Ashlynn worked on another animation! (Mariel has a bit of audio and titling homework.)
Sadie also helped Jack work on his costume for Halloween - Jack in the box? ;)
And everyone had fun trying on Mariel’s box costume!
Jack and Ryder and Ben worked on their multi-media ‘airplane’ film - live action and animation! (We will work on a little green screen homework!)
Briana continued on her edit - adding titles and working on sound - almost there!
Florence worked on the credits and title and also got permission from Shaylynn to use one of her songs for her film. So Florence’s film is complete!
Mary Jane worked on her transitions and breathing room. So tomorrow is just finishing up with titling.
For another fabulous Darrell catered affair much of the community headed to Chief Zzeh Gittlit School for supper and an evening with hockey ‘legends’. Past Chief Pauline Frost and Present Chief Lance Nagwan got gifted jerseys. Council member Ryan Newman-Kay hosted the event. We also learned that Jack’s mom Lisa won her council seat with the most votes! CONGRATULATIONS!
Ruth shared her poster of looking for an uncle…so funny, could this be her next film???
Sebnem and Lisa g has to cut out before the floor hockey game but got to chat a bit with Stan Jr and Dean and then spotted a fluffy dark haired fox on the way home! It is always so cool to see all the skidoos and 4 wheelers outside a northern event! The coolest parking lot ever!
We headed back to cabin to prep for the screening!
SO EXCITING!
