“I just want to say again how grateful we are for this opportunity.

It is a wonderful way to engage students and provide a talking point for our visits. Haaw'a !”

Our World has over 200 films that share the personal experience & traditional stories of Indigenous, Métis & Inuit youth, adults and Elders from remote communities across Canada.

We provide curated film programs plus a Q&A with Our World filmmakers! What an amazing way for students to learn about Indigenous communities across Canada and the folks who live there!

FILMS: Each program will be created according to the specific topics of interest to your class and the age of your students. Some suggested themes, based on films currently available, could be: Traditional Stories, Community Advocates, Community Strength, Living in Two Worlds, Multi-generational Voices, Lessons from the Past, Residential School Impact, Moving Beyond Stereotypes, Celebration of Culture, and many more.

FEES: A big part of this initiative is to provide financial compensation for Indigenous, Métis & Inuit filmmakers. School fees will pay filmmaker screening fees. If cost is a barrier, please let us know, as we have support funding for schools in need. We want everyone to have access to this opportunity.

Fees are based on IMAA rates: $71 for films that are 5mins, $108 for films that are 5-15mins and $144 for films15-30 mins.
