Day 9 Bella Bella !
Today was the last workshop day ! Phew!
Eryn added some final photos and re-added a missing video (tortilla game!) and rearranged some photos with the text. THIS PIECE IS SO CHARMING. Great job!
Danny worked on music and credits. This is such a heartwarming story about how we can sometimes hurt each other and hurt ourselves but also heal ourselves and each other. GREAT work Danny!
Sanique added video clips of her sister, Cheyenne and finished her edit and credits. This brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful.
TJ added a few credits AND played it on the TV for folks who had time to watch - this video is so cool and experimental combining her Mom’s interview with basketball imagery and drumming. Stellar!
Yaya and Elle edited A LOT of material, they cut down 2 interviews into an 9 minute film that has a really wonderful message of young people being the future beyond what was a horrific past due to the indian act. Yaya also added some personal context that will hit you right in your heart. So powerful.
Norman and Tehya stayed late…going through so much material - hours of interviews and cut down to 17 minutes…time to go home around 10pm… but we shall meet Tehya tomorrow to make any final edits before the screening. This video will educate who ever sees it about the effects of first contact for the Heiltsuk!
